Hi, sorry for my english, i'm italian but this forum it's the best to get this kind of advices. I have an Intel Ultimate 6300 N ment to be used with a lenovo laptop (FRU 60Y3193). Since i already have it but in the mean time i sell my notebook without the chance to use it i tried to put it in my htpc with an adapter. so i bought an adapter to pci express (HWTOOLS MP2W) but when i tried to use it the adapter didn't work. I installed the latest driver from intel, i also tried lenovo drivers for the device, still installed but error code 10.
Is it possible that the adapter works only with lenovo under windows?
Because few hours later i used the ocz image live tool to upgrade the firmware of my ssd (based on a linux build) and it recognized my wireless card without any problem, it connects to my network and it downloaded the new firmware update all in the 5 ghz band without problems. How can i make it work under windows?

If a card is meant for Lenovo it won't work in non-lenovo computers.
Some pins are inverted or something like that.
It works under Linux but not under Windows.

if the problem was the pin wasn't working on linux too, right? the problem must be the driver, maybe there is some lenovo driver that make it work also in windows

I'm not sure if this was a pin or not- what I remember is exactly that Lenovo cards work inly in Lenovo computers unless it's under Linux.
I have no idea why but I've seen it several times.

Have had the same problem before, did some dig around, never got a solution though. IIRC, I tried with HP, lenovo and intel driver. 13.x 14.x 15.x same thing.

Driver install fine but windows cannot start them.
