I currently have a wireless router at 11mbps. I have been thinking of upgrading to 54 mbps that with turbo would go up to 108mbps. However, I think I would be limited to 54mbps due to the 2915 card unless I bought a new USB wireless 108 adaper. Is this correct?

If that's the case, is the upgared from 11 to 54 worthwhile? I have been looking at the Dlink 524 or netgear WGR614. A speed test gets me 1,300 kbps right now. Since my ISP download posted speed is 5 mbps, it seems either one is overkill unless one considers signal loss due to distance?

The 11g is worth the upgrade over 11b. It is roughly 4 times as fast. But you are correct you will need to have an adaptor to match your router. Even thought alot have the same chip set, you need the same mfg for turbo to work. They all handle the turbo differently. I use one of the turbo 11g setups. Works pretty well. But if you want max speed it need to be wired.

Thanks for the reply. The upgrade from 11b to 11g would be worth it even if my ISP max is 5mbps?

yes. All web pages will load faster. I've used them both 11b & 11g + turbo. You will notice a difference between them all.
