    Hi everyone,

after a long time without posting I'm back with a bit of an issue with an Intel 9260ngw that I bought last week. The laptop is an HP Star Wars (absolute bargain at 200$) that came with a cheap Realtek N card, do mind that it only has 1 antenna as I'm waiting on a double antenna kit to arrive.

I have my ISP router on the first floor and a Netgear R6300v2 on the second floor connected to the router downstairs via CAT.6 ethernet.

The card works "well" under Windows (with 1 antenna) but can't see the R6300v2 SSIDs. I found it pretty strange so I downloaded a few Linux distros to see if the card was faulty or something. This is what I encountered:

    Windows 10

    Manjaro 17.1.11 KDE

    Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

The Netgear SSIDs are only visible on Linux, go figure...

So I guess it's the Windows driver right? I tried reinstalling the PROSET software, the driver etc and nothing.

    Does anyone have similar issues?

I am running the Intel 9260 as well in my laptop, wifi works fine, but the bluetooth cuts in and out all the time, can you try the bluetooth and connecting something to it? i am curious if you get issues wiht that too or not. i think i may go back to my old intel wifi chip. :(

I just sent a picture to my Pixel 2 XL via Bluetooth, no issues at all.

I use it with my LG Tone HBS810 and Samsung Level Headphones. It’s never cut out for me. Could be the way your laptop is built not playing well with this particular card. Also where did you buy it from, I ask because QC failed units are also sold on the side by factories with similar results to what you see.

I bought it from a China company on Ebay. heh. I think I am going to re-install the 8260 card, see if my bluetooth will start working again, what a bummer.

The bluetooth issues also happened with the 8265 either. @saturnotaku complained a lot about that on his 8265 and I think his even came with his laptop.
I swapped out my 9260 for the old Killer (Qualcomm) 1535 and the bluetooth was more stable and didn't cause FPS drops in PUBG either with bad range (like lagging if you moved the controller away from the laptop until you re-paired it). The wifi connection on the 9260 was just fine, though.

I did see the Killer sometimes drop the bluetooth connection and then re-pair, however but I think that only happened twice and it was at full strength. I don't know what to blame with the Intel card.
