I know next to nothing about how wireless cards function. I did some research but am quite short on time; so, I hope to take the easy way out this time. So here goes!

If I put this card into my new laptop, will it be able to work with my wireless b/g/n router? I'll look into
upgrading to a wireless AC router around boxing day. If it doesn't, I'll wait for the Killer N 1525 for my M5 Pro.

    Thank You!

It will work with a b/g/n router although before you buy it you need to confirm that your notebook has an M.2 slot, not a mini PCI Express and that doesn't use white-listing.

Thank you for the reply. BTW, do you have any idea if the intel 7265 would be better than the Killer 1525. Is it worth while waiting for the Killer 1525 option or is it wiser to just go with the Intel 7265. This is for everyday usage and some gaming on the new laptop that I'm going to buy soon; Eurocom M5 Pro.

I'd wait if I were you. Intel 7260 has its share of problems and 7265 is not a new card after all - it might not be much better. Killer might be a better option (although an overpriced one for sure) but you would have to wait and see.
