Allright, I've seen lately many people with the Intel 7260 as their choice of notebook WiFi card, and with some good reviews on it. Thing is I went with the Killer Wireless N-1103, since I won't be in need of the Bluetooth, and I will be gaming on a wireless network, so latency is important for me. I might still have the chance to change the 1103 to 7260, but I need pros and cons here.
Thanks!

Intel 7260 has some driver issues - yet to be resolved - and is not an improvement unless you gave 802.11ac router so unless you bought an 802.11ac router or are planning to do so, there's no point.

If you get an AC router Intel will be far better. Mind you AC is a standard that works on 5GHz only. On 2.4GHz band you still have 802.11n speeds.
This might or might not be important depending on how far from the router are you since 2.4GHz gets better range. -
Ac fall flat with n after some distance iirc. And ac probably won't have lower latency.

If the 1103 paired with your current router works well for what you need it for I'd stick with it until 3x3 802.11ac cards are available.
Then you can get the router and card that's best at the time of purchase.
We don't know what tomorrow will bring.
As far as AC 1900 routers go the contest right now IMO is between the NETGEAR R7000 and the Asus AC68U

All the previous Netgear routers I've owned including the present R6300 have had internal antennas. The R7000 has 3 external.

Thanks for the inputs guys! Imma stick with the 1103 for now, and watch out for the Intel 802.11ac 3x3 in the future.

That's a good decision. I'm doing the same thing especially that AC routers still carry premium price-tags on them.
The more popular they become the cheaper they become.WhatsThePoint and Dendrit3 like this.
