    hello all,

currently, the bigfoot Networks Killer 1103 is one of the two parts that are backordered and holding up my order with XoticPC.

My question is, if I mostly play game through Verizon FIOS (fiber optic), would it make a big difference if I go with the Intel 6300? I know what plugging in ethernet is probably the best, but I might be moving around the house to different floors, so I will be gaming on wireless over a persistent wired connection.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you are most often playing on wired connection, you should definitely go for 6300 Ultimate-n Intel because it uses 3 Antennas for epic coverage and has the best transmission rates (up to 450mb/s on some wifi). The Killer 1103 is dedicated for real nomad players looking for best latency on games..

    I wouldn't wait for 1103 if I were you.
Atheros (which is what 1103 is) is better than Intel but it won't improve gaming experience.
Besides you'd have to revamp the whole networking setup to really see any difference (apart from increased range which may be an instant benefit).
