    Hi!
I have clevo p150hm with 6230N intel card. I can't connect to my router (WPA2). When i change the WPA2 to Open (no security), laptop is connecting very long and when he finally connects, Internet is not avalible and he gets some crazy IP. I try put the IP manualy, but is not working. Is only one way to connect with router - WEP, temporarily is enough, because i can change settings at home, but for 2 weeks i back on Uni and i need sort this out.

    I have win7 x64 and intel wifi drivers 14.1.1.0
    router: Huwei HG655d

    Please Help!

Why not run the intel wireless software suite again. Do a custom install and expand the tree so it loads all the features on this time including the My Wifi utility. This allows your computer to be a hotspot if you need it and turn on the feature. Go to the Intel site and do not run the automated driver finder. You will see three windows. In the window to the left scroll down and select wireless networking. In the second window select wireless technologies. in the third window select Intel My Wifi technologies. In the box select your operating system. Choose one of the version 14.0.0 downloads and select the larger of the two downloads. During the instillation choose custom and expand the tree to select all features available. I was getting drop offs when I upgraded to 7 and this solved the problem. It did not lower my driver version either.
This may help or not. It won't hurt either. If you research on the web you will find quite a few posts on forums about the 6230. Some people have been able to change some router settings to help it function better also.

I wouold change the wireless card to one that works. The 5300, 6200 and 6300 are the most trouble free intel wireless cards.

    I temporary resolved the problem:
In Device Manager, My wireless card settings, i disabled mode 802.11 N

Most of wifi routers still use b or g mode, so temporary is good solution.
Maybe next drivers wil be can fixed that

That must be really annoying to have a new computer and have the wireless not work properly. There are many posts about this card not working properly. I hope it gets resolved soon.

One thing you could do is try installing the drivers for the 6200 on the 6230. Technically, it should work though you'd loose the wimax functionality and have the 6230 work only as a 6200. I believe this worked for an Asus user, but since i'm going from memory i could be wrong.

I'm also having a problem with this card. Except it is ping spikes while gaming. My desktop which is also connected through the wireless network gets for example 65 ping in League of legends with no lag spikes. While my laptop with this card gets 100 ping with lag spikes ranging from 300-1000+.

The card seems to be working fine, I don't notice it as slow or anything, but I would like to fix the lag spikes.
