Hi Guys after reading the thread below about recommendations i see you are having success with your routers and cards.

I currently own a SXPS 1640, it originally came with an intel 5100, i have recently purchased the linksys wag320n, which is a UK ADSL modem router with 5.0ghz capability. To go along with this bought a brand new 5300 card from dell, and put it in with all 3 aerials connected. Set my router to 5ghz and then to N. Then i connected with my WPA pre shared key as normal and connected. So i was originally well chuffed when this worked and was really quick. Now after a while of being connected about a day or so, it would just cut me off my own network. my wireless connection to my network would just suddenly drop entirely.

Im using Windows 7 x64, latest intel drivers 13.1.1.1 and when i would check the box for available networks in range, i can see others around my street, but not mine i just was connected to it feels like the card isnt stable at 5.0ghz.
Checked the router and wireless is up.

The only way to connect back onto my network is to reboot the router and this works fine. Explain that to me. Running latest bios and fw to router.
Thinking of that its feels like the router could be at fault?
So i have a work laptop with the 4965 card in it which also works tried similar things with that again connects no problem. this is stable.

I have had the card recently replaced free of charge from dell and swapped it out myself and guess what its still happening.
The router is next door about 5 m away from me.

Time period of me being online with could be from 6pm to about 2am but about midnight it cuts me off until i reboot the router.

Its really annoying me because im stuck for ideas of what it could be causing it. Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks.

So after reading a number of posts on a number of sites on google about similar drop outs and connection faults. They said go into configure and change - diable power management, take roaming agressiviness down to lowest and transmit power to highest which i have done. This has made no difference to performance.

Have reverted back to using the 5100 and using the normal 2.4ghz this has never cut me off to dropped.

    Thanks Arron
