I have a dell inspiron e1505 and looking to upgrade from the intel pro/wireless 3945 to something with N in it... the 5100 is 300 mbps and the 5300 is 450 mbps.. The reason i am leaning towards the 5100 is the fact it only uses 2 antennas while the 5300 has a 3 antenna setup... I am not sure where to install teh 3rd antenna if i went with teh 5300.. any ideas?

Neither will probably not work on your machine.
I can't get it going on my E1705 or my Wife's D820 either and your E1505 will have the same chipset.
Others have noted these cards not working as well.

Have a gander over at OxfordTec.com where you will find cards that will work with your setup.
