I've been trying to get the wireless to work on this laptop for 2 days now. Here is a rundown:

    - internet works perfectly when on LAN, but is not able to pick up wireless
    - installed newest drivers, repaired/disabled/enabled etc through Vista
    - tried changing router settings and settings on the 5100. for example i disabled wireless n mode, made sure the router channel and the channel on the 5100 matched up, etc, etc.
    - used a 3rd party Zonet wireless adapter and wireless works fine through that

Do i have a faulty wireless card? Any steps you would suggest that I haven't taken? It's very frustrating when something you spend a lot of money on doesn't work out of the box so that's what I'm currently dealing with.

I've seen a lot of problems with the 5100 via forum search but none quite exactly like this.

    Thanks all

(by the way this is a 64bit vista os)
