    Hi:

I have a notebook with a Intel 4965AGN. This board have 3 antennas connected internally. This 3 antennas are used in N mode whereas in G mode only one antenna are used.

I want to put a external connector for antenna and I use only modes b/g.

My question is... which antenna are use for this mode? if I connect my external connector in - for example- connector 1 and don't disconnect the other antennas (internals) in mode b/g which antenna are used????

You should have an advance setting in the driver to select antenna. I think it will use the one that give the best SNR by default. But 11a is 5ghz so one antenna should be deciated to it. Look real close on the board it may be marked.

Just leave out the middle one..
white antenna cable to the connector labeled "main" and connect the black antenna cable to the connector labeled "aux".

Nor connectors are labeled main neither aux!

Only the board have the 3 numbers and the internal antennas are connected with a black wire (1) and 2 white (3-2)
