Well, I bought my laptop about 2 months ago, everything worked fine. Back then I had a crap G Netgear router, and my laptop could go on the internet. A few days ago I bought a Belkin N1, and it went fine, I connected with my PS3, my sisters laptop, and my cousins, then I tried mine. It did not work. It connected, but could not identify, then it coud not connect, becuase of a timeout error (vista diagnosed that), and now it cant find anything. Nothing, Nada, Zilch. I tried with a external adapter, it found it, but had a timeout error.

    Any help?

I have tried calling Belkin, and Sony, but there useless.

I have never liked Belkin, there hardware is just not reliable. But if your's the only one impacted the router may be fine.

Make sure there is no errors on the driver (device manager), and the wireless card is turned on.

You need to make sure IP6 is not in use on vista.

Second, drop to the cmd prompt and run ipconfig /all. Is the gateway the same IP as the router admin? if so its ok, and should beable to ping an IP address. Now it the DNS number match the gateway they are not correct. So you failing to get valid numbers.

If your timing out on connection you need to make sure you are on the same freq, 2.4 or 5ghz. Then see if the router is wide band (40) or narrow (20). Match the router. Make sure the router SSID is being broad casted. Is the connection setup to auto connect. If you did not change the SSID I would recommend doing so. Just incase someone else in your area has not changed his. This will impact all users.

Delete the old connection, use connection manager and initiate a connection. Enter the WPA(2) Personal AES security key. If not using security you need to do so.

But if all were acting up I would have bet the router is shooting craps again. Real common on Belkin routers, the reason I don't like them.

But now I cant find any wwireless networks... I think my card is turned off... In the command ip config bit, under: Wireless LAN Adapter Wireless Network Connection and in media state it says Media Disconnected... But in Device Manager when I reight clcik on the wireless card it only gives the option to disable, not enable...

How do I find out whether it is turned on or not?

Most NB have a led indicating they are on. But if you only have the disable options, that means it on.

If your using the Intel Location manager just have it scan for AP's in your area. You can not use Intel and MS Zero Config at the same time.
