I am trying to configure the "advanced" options I found under the wireless adapter in Hardware to get maximum battery life. I have enclosed a screenshot of available options but finding details on how exactly the effect performance and power use is rather difficult.

Any ideas people? I am running under Vista Home Premium.

If you want max battery life the nb will shut down the wireless if you let it. The CAW will keep the nb from turning off the wireless. In most cases the def settings are for max battery. But some of the settings only apply to battery and not AC.
