Sorry to ask such a basic question, but what is the difference between these two options. Dell seems to imply the the 2915 is the Centrino option, while the 2200 is not. Please let me know?

    Thanks

Centrino is just marketing garbage, so forget about that. The 2915 adds 802.11a, which is another protocol. It's not important to 99% of the people out there.

Both are crap in my opinion... they doesn't work properly with one of the most popular wireless routers... WRT54G.

And Intel doesn't solve the problem... I don't understand Intel... a very common problem which is not solved (I don't want to think about Sonoma... because Intel is going to sell 2200BG like donuts...)

Just be careful with the wireless chipset of the card you're gonna buy and its incomtibilities

I just came across this old thread while searching for the differences of a 2200 compared to a 2915.

Now, I'd like to know what this is all about...
"Both are crap in my opinion... they doesn't work properly with one of the most popular wireless routers... WRT54G."

Is this true? Can anybody confirm what the problems are and if they can be avoided?

    Thanks in advance.
