I have a Planet WAP-4000 wireless router and a notebook that has an Intel 2200 Pro-Wireless bg card built-in. I have tried updating the drivers on the intel card to the latest drivers and still cannot connect to the router. I get brilliant signal, but it cant connect. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

You checked for the newest firmware for your router?

Also, check that if you put up a WEP or any type of security

The password/security key is correctly typed in?

For testing purposes, try disabling security then connecting to see if it works then..

yes, i can connect if i use my planet pcmcia wlan card using the security key. I am currently downloading the new firmware upgrade for my router tho, so hopefully that will shed some light, that was a great hint.

my apologies about ridiculous intel solution as i found the problem and am embarrased to say, but it was mac address filtering that was causing the problem!! I am now surfing the internet with my intel 2200bg and my planet wap-4000 ap with better signal than i've had with any other wlan card!! lol! thanks for your assistance coriolis!
