Hi, I am purchasing a Dlink 655 router since I have read great reviews from several people who have this product for my SAGER NP2096 laptop which has I believe a 5100 wireless intel chip inside. I was wondering, when you have to install those drivers, is it better to install it on my laptop (where I will be using the wireless internet for) or the Desktop. In other words, will installing the Dlink drivers increase speed performance on the system used, or is it just a waste of space on my hard drive. Thanks.

The wireless adapter Intel 5100 is in the laptop, install therefore the driver there.
