okay so its my 1st time installing a 3rd antenna for a wifi card so i dont know the how and where's, i got my 5300 in the PC but where can i place the 3rd antenna? the antenna i have has a tip of about half my pinkie and its really skinny, and i cant seem to fit it anywhere since my laptop LID is razor thin.
Is it necessary to place the 3rd antenna near the TOP or the machine or near the screen? i have spaces where i can put it under the palmrest on in the middle of the chassis next to the DVD drive, or near the fan/heatsink output or near the screen cable on the MB would any of these be suitable places? oh yes the place under the palmrest would be touching the HDD or being really close to it would that be okay or not good at all?
i want to get full N signals i just know if it would be affected anyway if i place the antenna near the frontside or middle of that chassis rather than near the screen or powerboard.

the US model of my laptop came with 3 antennas and 4965 but due to the odd placement of the atenna several people complained of static and moved it elsewhere but their antennas were small and abit of the pudgy side . so what should i do? please help

tape it to the outside of the screen.
are you sure there is no room in the screen bezel, to one side of the lcd?

to be honest i dont think position matters very much. i dont know anything about interference. if i were to put it inside the main chassis however and attempt to avoid interference, i would keep in mind that things like your cpu are not really going to be a problem. its the output stage of your soundcard, things like that where it would legitimately cause problems, maybe the hard drive.
