I installed Vista Ultimate on my Dell 1520 this morning and the networking stopped working. I've reinstalled the latest drivers from dell but that did not work. Any suggestions?

What exactly is 'not working'? Can you connect to the network at all? Can you see the network? What exactly is happening?

I strongly think he's saying that he can't connect to the network, but is able to see the network devices. Has to be settings somewhere. I don't use/have never use/have no clue what so ever with Vista so I don't know where to start.

It's pretty important that we know exactly what the problem is before it can be diagnosed...otherwise I'm going to waste time typing out things to try for a completely unrelated problem.

    General ideas:

1)Refresh your whole server...i.e. turn all the computers+printers off, then the router, then the modem. And then turn it all back on..modem, then router, then computers.

    2) Set your settings for IP and DNS server to 'automatic' in TCP/IP v4 properties for the wireless network adapter if they aren't already.

    3) Connect the computer with a wired connection and run network setup wizard.
