    Dlink
Incase you had a weak connection like I did :( . I have a Dlink 524 WiFi Router.
It is on my third floor (concrete block house with walls about 9 Inches thick) and on my first floor the signal would drop out or be like 2Mbps.
I tried the garden sound CantennaÂ…no difference.
I bought the Dlink wireless extender DWLG710. Now I get between 24-54 Mbps :D on the first floor and on the patio. I have only used it a few times so far. Only draw back, you cant disable SSID on the extender. But I have WPA2 and Mac filters on.
Oh yeah...I updated my Intel WiFi card drivers, that helped too.

Any other suggestions for tighter security or should this be ok?
