hi guys n girls (been a while),

I cant acces certain websites which are of great importancy. I cant acces them due to my IP. So i was wondering is there anyway to acces them either by changing the IP or hiding it.

I have tried using proxy´s and different computers in the house but still couldnt acces them so i think it has to do with my internet/modum/router/whatever IP.

any help in the right direction would be apreciated

    Thanks

If you were using a proxy your IP shouldn't have been visible.
What type of setup do you have? Cable modem, ADSL?

Can you forcibly disconnect and reconnect to get new IP or is the whole IP range or ISP banned?

ADSL usually have dynamic IPs (unlike cable modems which usually assign static IPs to each modems at least for a fixed duration of time).

You can either log in to the modem and disconnect/connect again or simply cut power to it- it should get a new IP once it starts.

The second solution might seem a bit brutal but is actually better- I used to have a modem-router combo that had 32MB RAM and memory leaks. So after a while NAT tables (I assume these were NAT tables) would overflow and some websites simply wouldn't load at all. Rebooting would solve it (for a week or so).

So- reboot and see what happens then. Also can you confirm that no computer in your household can connect to those web-pages?

i tried rebooting my modum which didnt get any results. Still couldnt log on.

I also tried using another computer in the house but couldnt log on either.

Im basicly a noob when it comes to internet and conection so i have no clue where to start really.

Check your external IP for example here, reboot modem and check again.
If it's a different IP and you still can't access those websites it might mean that the IP range or even your ISP have been banned.

I can't even view D-Link forum since they have IP banned my ISP (800K to 1 million users)- not that I would buy anything from them but still pretty dumb move.
You can also switch DNS servers for OpenDNS for testing.
