I have a IBM R40 type 2724 that has an ORiNOCO Wireless LAN PC Card (3.3volt) v 7.43.0.9 driver. I just hooked up a Linksys N router and when I tried to hook the above laptop to it a message came up that I needed Windows SP3 (which took me a week to figure out and downloaded it). Now my wireless is not allowing me to choose WPA or WPA2. I thought that I downloaded the SP2 119591 but it was after the cut off date of Windows so I do not know if it installed. Is this because I have an older laptop and need a new wireless card or can I just update a driver??????

    Any help would be appreciated:

ORINOCO cards are 802.11b which means they support only WEP. That's why you cannot use WPA or WPA2.
