    hey, guys i have question about limiting bandwidth to certain computer. I like game on my laptop but i cant because my sister is using the internet to browse the net always and i get 300 ping. So how i can limit her bandwidth to say 512 kbps. With a software? or is it a router feature?

    It's a feature available on most new routers (or just any that use DD-WRT). Look up QoS. (Quality of Service)

    Sorry, but I don't know how to set it up anymore you do.

    yeah i dont think i have qos so i think i will install netlimter and just limit the bandwidth on certain applications or the whole computer.

    what router mate?

    I limited the rest of my familys connection to 512kbps. Its more than enough bandwidth to watch youtube and surf the same time

    siemens s567 thats the router i have. Its bad router but for now its fine.
