I am asking here in desperation, my wireless has been off and on having issues through 3 different setups. All I want is to get at least a year of trouble free wireless/wired internet. I have used the following setups:
1.) This and This the pair looked sweet together, I mean stackable and made to cooperate. But looks dont make me happy, functionality and stability do. WoW, aim, and pretty much any constantly on services turn on and off with this setup. I tested and still use the WAP at work as it was not the issue.
2.) This was ok for like a day or two then the typical linksys AIM issues arose like the first setup had.
3.) This alone has been OK but still is finky. WoW disconnects frequently but most other constantly on services stay ok (e.g. aim/aol)
Ok what I need is stability, I need my internet to be on and ready to go when I am home at a moments notice. These three solutions did not work and now I have spent alot of money that is now wasted. What I need from you guys is stable routers that you have direct experience with. I need a wireless soulution as I havent wired the bottom and top floors yet, as it wont be easy to do. Before you say it may have been a setting on one of the routers, trust me in that I could almost claim a full time job by diag and on the phone with tech support. All setups have been through port forwarding, firewall tweaking, as well as shut off firewalls. Any setting that could have been done has been done and these setups will no longer polute my network with unstability.
Thanks

This is sold by Comcast, my isp, and we have the wired bisinus solution at work with about 3-4 months of constant up time so I think Ill check this out.

I've heard nothing but good things about SMC.I seen alot of there equipment in the SMB enviorment.Surprised to hear about your linksys problems,I've had nothing but positive experiences with them but I prefer the older versions.but if you look at the review it could be expected.
I need stability.
