So here it goes, you see my laptop specs on my signature, and Im looking to upgrade to best available WiFi card. It has to be half-size wlan card, and can be two or 3 or even 4 aerials I have spare aerials and am going to install extra 1 or 2 of them if I have to.

So I was thinking of Intel Ultimate-N 6300 but I feel there has to be something newer and better as 6300 is bit old by now... or is it still best buy today?

Please share your opinions and advices

    Thanks

AFAIK, the 6300 is still the best out there - it needs 3 wires and does 450mbps. With my RT-AC66U router, I'm getting about 22 MB/seconds on my LAN and get the same Speedtest.net scores on my laptop via wireless as I get from my wired computers.

There are probably going to be some new AC 900mbs coming soon - not that I've heard of anything announced.

Also forgot to mention how does intel's 6300 compare to killer wireless 1103? Price doesnt matter, the quality does... if its worth considering...? ... or even 1102??

Both the Intel 6300 and Killer 1103 are excellent wireless cards when used with a 3rd antenna and properly configured and combined with a top quality properly configured 450Mbps Dual Band router.

Having a 6300 or 1103 plus a 450Mbps router is not a slam dunk automatically great wireless experience.

These wireless cards without the 3rd antenna are the same as having a 2 antenna 300Mbps card.

Having used both the 6300 and 1103 combined with a few different Netgear 300Mbps and 450Mbps dual band routers for extended periods of time in an MSI GT780DX and 2 LG notebooks I prefer the 1103.

In my environment with my setup and Internet service I get better and quicker connections

I'm waiting for an 802.11ac or ad wireless card to combine with my Netgear R6300 router.

    IMO,the Netgear USB 2.0 802.11ac A6200 adapter is a waste of money.

The 6300 is by no means 'new' (actually, its pretty old :p) but its still very capable. I would get it as its the best value.
