Go with the linksys router. As far as the card, just get a normal linksys wireless card.

Depends on what router you get. Most vendors have added some sort of propriety speedboosting technology (Linksys has SRX Speed). So if you don’t have an SRX Speed enabled wireless card then you do not get the speed advantage.

That said IMHO the biggest advantage of MINO is range and consistently (or so we have been told) so as Nicksphon said any Linksys Card (which will be cheaper) will work and with MIMO router and you will still get the advantage of increased range.

Unless you are doing some serious internal file transferring or some sort of internal media streaming the SRX will make no difference.

I have the Netgear MIMO router. According to them you need the MIMO card to get the extended range benefits.

have you looked at the belkin pre-n router? i think its cheaper than linksys and dlink.

also let me know how it turns out. im also looking to get one those Pre-N/MIMO (whatever they call it) routers. but im not sure if you can take advantage of the range if you just have a regular card. (dont really care about the speed, just the range)
