I am subscribed to Road Runner cable for my internet connection. My desktop is connected to the Cable box/modem which also serves as a wireless router - this is was Road Runner set me up with. I currently have 2 Laptops which I surf the net on via the secured wireless lan I have. I'd really like to be able to share printers and files across all 3 computers. Does anyone know how I could do this? I've tried figuring it out via windows but I'm lost. I don't think I need any more equipment? I'd really appreciate any suggestions or ideas anyone might have, thank you!

Since time is limited right now, the short version is that you need to make sure the "Microsoft Networking" service is installed/available and then enable sharing and specify the printer as a shared device. Then you should b able to see the shared device using Network Neighborhood.
