I hope im posting this in the right section.
ok well i've been trying to connect my razar cell phone with my samsung p50 through bluetooth.

I think theres a problem with the bluetooth on my laptop.

I turned on the bluetooth on my laptop by double clicking on the bluetooth icon, as well as my cellphone, but both my phone and my laptop didnt detect each other.

I've went my device manager, clicked on the network adapter and then double clicked on the bluetooth device and under the device status, it says
"this device cannot start. (code 10)."

could that be the problem? when i click on bluetooth icon isnt there suppose to be like a program thats suppose to pop up? nothing pops up when i double click on the icon...

it could be that the drivers aren't installed properly. If you check device manager and see if there's a yellow triangle with black exclamation mark next to the bluetooth entry. If there is one then double click on the entry to see the properties and try reinstalling the drivers.

I don't suppose there's an actual physical bluetooth button or sliding switch on the laptop is there? It might be that it needs to be switched on by that before double clicking the bluetooth icon. (guessing here though I'm afraid as I don't know Samsung laptops well)

yes there is a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark. I can't reinstall the driver because, if i uninstall it, how do i install it back? I tried the "roll back" and a message poped up warning me there was no back up for the thing..

and no my laptop dosent have any buttons for bluetooth.

oh and i for got to mention i use windows xp pro sp2

did your laptop come with a drivers and utilities disk? If it did pop that in and go to device manager and try update driver then go with the Have disk option or look in specific location for driver and tick the CD option it should search the disk for a suitable driver and with luck will automatically install it. If you don't have a disk I'd drop an email to Samsung support and ask them to point you in the right direction for your bluetooth driver.

When you find the drivers for it, if it's an exe file then just run that, or, if it's an inf file then go to device manager then the bluetooth module entry then update driver and choose the have disk option then browse to where you saved the inf file.

    I hope this helps!
