I need to know if the DLink DAP 1353 does indeed operate in repeater mode as the spec sheet says. I need a repeater for my DIR 655 and the manual doesn't show that mode. I am in Los Angeles area and this item is not sold in US so I will purchase in Mexico. But I would like to know that it will work in repeater mode before I go to the trouble. I understand that a v2 manual and firmware exists and maybe this is why there is some confusion.
Anyone out there have the scoop on this DAP 1353?
    Thanks in advance,
    JoJo

Have you tried the manufacturer's website, in the FAQ or support sections? Or, checked for downloads such as an updated manual or a service manual?

Thank you Shyster1, I did find the v2 manual and v2 firmware for the DAP 1353 on the UK DLink site and I thought I would purchase the unit in Mexico since they are on the same elect voltage as US. The site shows the 1353 as compatible with the DIR 655 so I should be in business, no? Do you see any problems with my plan?

If the specs says that it works as a repeater then it does.

    Thank you Wirelessman,
Yes, the v2 manual shows repeater mode which matches the online spec sheet now. So, now that I have that established. Anyone have any ideas on who I can buy a couple of these from in Mexico? Anyone know of a computer store there that will sell to me and ship to California?
    Thanks all,
    JoJo

I was not able to repeat signals on DAP-1353 from DSL-2740B Dlink products. \Does any one know how to go about it?
