Whether it's youtube, a television show or anything, I can only stream it for 2 minutes before having to refresh and select the point that it froze at in order to continue what I was watching.

I've done a complete browser clean-up (cache, etc.) as well as a DNS flush as suggested throughout Google searching and yet the problem is still here.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance :)

It sounds a bit like your router's cache is full/can't handle heavy streaming, ie 720p youtube stuff. What kind of router is it? You might also try looking for updated drivers for your wireless card but I doubt that is the problem...

I have Bell Canada as my IPS and use the white modem that comes with it. My desktop is directly connected via ethernet cable, hmm. I can't even handle low res streaming :(

Try hooking up a second computer to your modem. Reboot your modem and then your computer. Then see if the problem continues. If it does, it is your ISP's problem and you should call them.

He'd have better luck talking to a wall when it comes to bell :p But yes try power cycling and such.

Unfortunately the 2wire modem/router combos bell is shipping these days are trash, so there isn't much you can do with them when problems come up. Check and make sure that it is your end and not bells' - go to pingtest and speedtest and see if your results are wha you should be getting. Pay special attention to packet loss, if you are getting ANY then it is bell's fault and you will have to contact them.

Sounds dumb but have you tried switching to wireless to see if the issue persists?
