    Erm.
Right. I got this laptop for Chirstmas.. and up till yesterday it's been saying "Windows cannot connect to the "name of the networrkk"
    Rightt.
And I don't know why.. i've restarted the router about a thousand times, after my laptop connected once.. but then, the other 999 times it didn't.
And.. yes i entered the security code. and the wireless switch is on..
I'm running Vista on both computers... the otherone connected to the router.
And the laptop is a HP dv2630.
And.. when i use a wire. It connects just fine.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    And i'll add..
    Whilst searching for wireless networks..
I found an unsecure one.. some random neighbour.
I was able to connect and surf the web using his or hers network just fine.. therefore it's some router problem right?

I think it was router problem or have you checked your IP on your laptop?

Did you install the latest drivers for your router?

try go to network and sharing center, then manage wireless networks and then remove any network found there. And then try connect to it again.
If that does not work, try reinstall the drivers for the wireless card in the device manager.
