    Was looking for some network software how to turn on webcam on laptop using smartphone ? or via network and view image on phone
    Anybody tried this ?

    I use skype to do this to spy on my dog when I'm at work. You're gonna need 2 skype accts (they're free), the skype app on phone (i have a droid x and it works perfectly), and of course skype on the computer.

    Install skype on the laptop and go to tools->options->calls->show advanced options-> then check "answer incoming calls automatically" and "start video automatically when in call." Add the account names you'll be calling with into the contact list.

    Install skype app on phone, login with other account and call the laptop, it should pickup automatically and with video!

    Haha - that IS really useful though!
    We just got a new puppy, so we're kinda stuck at home to make sure she's getting everything she needs. Skype could really come in handy! :D I would not mind using it in the very near future!
