    I have a Samsung WEP500 Bluetooth Headset.

    1. How do I use it to listen to music or to make VoIP calls on my Bluetooth-enabled laptop?

    2. Can a Bluetooth Headset made specifically for hand phone (Samsung WEP500 Bluetooth Headset is an example) be used on a laptop at all?

Well, there are probably specific instructions for each individual headset, and I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned. That said, here is how I did it with my Dell stereo headphones/headset. Make sure BT is enabled on the laptop, and make sure the headphones are powered on. Open the BT control panel on the notebook and click whatever it is in the interface that offers to find BT devices. It should locate the headset. It may require a security code to pair them, and you'd need to know what that is. My headphones were 0000. 1111 is also a good default bet. Once the devices are paired successfully, your notebook's BT control panel area should show the headset as a device and list whatever services are available with them. For instance, I had Stereo Headphones, or Headset /mic. I click the one I want and select Connect.

That's it, basically. The individual steps might vary based on the device or the BT stack on the notebook, but that should be pretty close to your procedure.

Is there a possibility that a bluetooth headset made for hand phone can't be used on a laptop?
