    I seriously have no idea. My brother tried once before with a Dl-524 D-Link but it didn't work, so now that I have purchased my laptop I need to set it up. I looked online for decent instructions but I am confused. Could someone tell me where to start? Where to finish?

    D-link router are easy to set up if you follow the guide. The manual is also on this site. The best way to set up is to first use a lan cable. Set up the channel and SSID you want to use write this down. Next, enable the encryption using an encrytion key use a hexidecimal key write this down. Once the router is set up use the information to set up your wireless card using the wireless setup utility.
