Okay, after many hours on a conference call with Bellsouth and Linksys, I finally got my wireless router working. Now, I'm noticing in my settings that my Linksys connection is unsecured. My question is, how do I make it secure? Thanks in advance.

    * Set up WPA or WPA2 on your wireless router.
    * Set up your wireless computer(s) with the WPA or WPA2 settings.

Okay, I know how to do that for the laptop. But how do I make my router WPA or WPA2? Is there a difference between the two choices?

Which Linksys router do you have?

Yes. WPA2 is better. But not all cards can use it.

    Go to Linksys.com
Click on Downloads at the top of the page.
    Choose your product, WRT54G.
    Click on User Guide.
Go to Chapter 5: Configuring the Wireless-G Broadband
    Router
    .
Go to The Wireless Tab - Wireless Security.

What you want to set up is either WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal, depending on what your wireless computers can handle.
