    Dear everyone,
Im haaving problem with my Acer 5670 to connect to the internet. After my laptop got problem, i installed Windows with the CD, not from the Acer system restoration. Then i went to Acer website to download driver for it. Everything ok, even with wireless LAN. But now i dont have WIFI so have to use LAN network to connect to the internet. But after plug in the cable, i can not go to the internet, can not see LAN icon in "show all connection" place also. So maybe it's because i lost driver for LAN network. But i go to ACer website again, download then install everything, still can not go to the internet. So anyone pls help me to solve this problem, without it i cant use internet at home for 1 month. thank you

Note that im also lost Acer restoration software and partion due to replaced the hard disk.

thank you a lot, really need your help. If possible, pls guide me how to do it. Thanks :)

The fact that u can't see the LAN Card in "Show all Connections" means that it needs drivers.

You said u went back to Acer's website again to download and install everything..when u did that did u still not see the LAN Card?...if so that means that it might be made by a manufacturer such as Intel. I'm not sure what OS ur using but u need to get into "Device Manager"...in XP u would right click on "My Computer"-->Properties-->Hardware-->Device Manager. Vista is similar to this but i can't give exact directions...just get into Device Manager and look under "Network Adapters"..if u don't see the LAN Card there..click on the computer looking icon at the top of the Device Manager window that states the name of the computer and then click the icon at the top that says "scan for hardware changes". You should see the LAN Card under Network Adapters...from here u can right click on it and select update driver..or u can go to the manufacturer's website and download it. The name of the card should hint u on who the manufacturer is.
