Hey guys i have a siemens wireless modem/router from telus. I want to know if i can split my bandwidth betweens to clients. I want to give 1.7 mb to my laptop on wireless and i want to give the rest of my speed to my desktop . The total amount of bandwidth i get into my house is 3.0 mbps. What do i need to do what i want to do? Both my computers are on xp.

Yes, You will need to dig into your routers manual and see if it supports QoS. If so you will need to setup QoS on the router for bandwidth control. You will need 2 rules. 1 for your NB and another for the others.
