Can someone give advice as to how to connect the Fujitsu P1510D laptop to the Pentax Pocketjet printer wireless ? I'm asking on behalf of a friend who is a traveling vet, and she needs as little wiring as possible while on the road.

Pocketjet has IrDa but P1510 does not.
Both units does not have bluetooth.

Currently, both units are connected via USB cable (USB cable head to P1510, mini-5-pin head to Pocketjet).

    Any solutions?

The cable is going to be easier and take up less space than adding wireless to the printer.

Does a USB infrared adapter work in this case, i.e. to replace the cable? If yes, any suggestion of good brands? And the cost?

In theory, but I haven't seen IR USB stuff for ages. I'm honestly not sure it's worth the effort to save the space taken up by a 3' cable.
