guys, I opted for 'Intel Wireless N Mini-card with Bluetooth' while configuring my DV5t. it is with me now but I am not able to figure whether it is really per the order. I tried the Device Manager and System information but didn't quite see it anywhere. Did I miss something ?

It should show under device manager in control panel under Network Adaptors.
If not download the latest Intel WLAN drivers, you'll need v12+ for the i5xxo chipsets.
