    Hi Everyone,

    I have got a Acer Aspire 5920G:
    intel core 2 duo 1.66ghz, 667 mhz FSB, 2mb L2 cache,
    Nvidia Geforce 8600M gs,
    4GB RAM,
    250GB HDD,
    802.11a/b/g WLAN

I was wonder how to make my laptop transfer files faster with out using a ethernet cable.
My highest transfer rate is 2.2mbps.

I have tried the channel 802.11g only and 240mbps it still gets the same.

    My wireless router is:
Netgear Range MAX 240 model WPNt834

    Much appricated for the help,

you probably mean 2.2MBps not mbps... which is about 18mbits. Thats completely normal for wireless G.
If you want faster speeds, you will need to upgrade to wireless N, or use an Ethernet cable.

    Edit:
Are you talking about transfering files between computers on the same network, or externally?.. If your talking external, you won't get faster speeds from upgrading that router.
