i just got a broadband wireless pc card from Verizon -

I was wondering how do people carry it around? I assume not in the slot all the time - but I didn't know if I could just throw it in my case or if it needed some kind of case (other than the cd like box it came in).

you can keep it in the slot all the time if you wish or you can just leave it in your case and plug it in when needed, its personal preference really :)

So it won't hurt to just have it thrown in your case?

I didn't know if dust or stuff banging around on the end of the card would mess it up. I thought there might be a sleeve of some sort that it could fit in...

If you are worried about dust, put it in a ziplock.

My case has pockets to put cards in. Be careful leaving the card in if it extends out of the slot.

Verizon sells a small padded zip case for these cards. I carry mine in that case and tuck it into my computer bag. It serves a second purpose. My Dell Inspiron 600m has an insert in the PCCard slot when there is not PCCard there. When I pop out the insert to put the WWAN card in I then have a place to keep it so I don't misplace it.
