    How do you Remote desktop?

    I am trying to connect use my Ipad to Remote desktop in.

    I can do it through wifi and in network

    but I wanted to try to connect via the internet but i can not get it to connect.

    I have win 7 ultimate

    ports are open and I selected port forwarding 3389 udp/tcp and put in my ip address and the computer network ip but it wont connect.

    router is a dlink dir-615 ver b

    anyone have any idea's

    You've mistakenly confused an ipad with a useful tool...




    Actually, you need to download/purchase an ipad app like winadmin by Carter Harrison, LLC or remote desktop by mochasoft

    Odds are you are missing another port that needs to be open.

    That or maybe they are blocking that port through your wwan. This happens with Verizon software, it has a built in firewall.

    are you trying to access your ip from within your LAN network or from and external network ?

    Make sure you are using the External IP address (a more common mistake than people think)
