I tried logging into my router by going to the 192.98 etc the IP address and it brought me to the login page. I typed the password it said in the manual but it said incorrect. I then called my ISP and they told me they had to send a technician over to type the password cuz they can't give it out. I just wanna see what devices are connected to my wifi network

Well, you could try the default username/password for your model of router. Outside of that, we can't really help with trying to break password protection.

I'm assuming this is a modem/router combo? It's strange that your ISP doesn't want to give you the password, definitely strange. I would try one more time. I can think of one thing that would work, but it will also screw up the settings on your router and it would need to be reconfigured to give you access to the Internet, something I get a feeling your ISP would want to send a tech over for (which I personally think is stupid).

Also, as Jarhead said, discussion of bypassing security measures is a no no on NBR.

Ya it's a router combo. Once they first installed it, I was able to login in, but I don't know what happened they changed the password or something

If you're interested, you can purchase your own modem/router combo (or buy a modem and a router) and replace the ISP-supplied one. Not only will you have complete control over the hardware, but it'll be a lot cheaper in the long run (you're paying a monthly rental fee on that ISP unit, which adds up very quickly over time).

Ya that's true. Do you know any other way I can check what devices have used or connected to my router without logging in?
