I have a built in Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN adapter in my HP laptop and in the pull down menu for setting location, there's only "United States" available.

How do I add choice for other countries for traveling purpose?

You absolutely have to be able to enable Japan in order to use your laptop there, as CH 14 is the only channel permitted there and with US setting, you can only use 1-11, EU setting 1-13.

The drop down menu won't let me switch out of US.
