    to share a connection do the following:

    1. find the connection you wish to share
    2. left click on it once, then right click and select properties
    3. select the advanced tab
    4. under "internet connection sharing"; select "Allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection". But dont allow them to change it for security sake.

    Then a connection (ad hoc or traditional LAN) Must be made for the two PC's. Both must be on the same IP and subnet scheme, and you just shared a connection with another pc.
