I am looking to make myself a little more secure, and I know that spoofing my IP can meet the needs that I have. Can anyone either explain how this is done or point me in the right direction?

What do you need to spoof your IP for?
Most uses of IP spoofing tend to be for security attacks (allowing your computer to assume the identity of another computer on the network) and other illegals. If that is the purpose of your question, such discussions are not allowed on these forums. If you have something else in mind, please specify so that someone here can better assist you.

spoofing is used for evil and not for awesome. because of that i'm closing this thread.

if you're really looking for security tips, there's already threads on the forum or you can start a new one asking about security in general and how you can make yourself more secure.

spoofing isn't really going to help you be more secure.

    look for things like:

    -Broadcast SSID turned off
-WPA, WEP, etc. level security turned on
    -MAC filtering turned on
    -Static IPs
    -Firewalls
