I work at a restraunt and it does not have wireless.....a store nextdoor has unsecured wireless and the manager lets us use it. I am using the integrated wireless in my Notebook (Asus A7T).

-The router is about 300-400ft away
-i get 2 bars of service on windows vista network viewer next to the window
    - Id Love a way to Get Better range for my laptop, even if i have to get 3rd party parts.

Get an external wifi adapter that's directional or has a port that can accept one.

    Something like this.
