I am running Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron 600 (Yes, I know it sucks but I have a Macbook that makes up for it, ha ha!) Anyways, there has been 84574398793 numbers of viruses that kept me from accessing my laptop to it's full ability. Therefore, I chose to reboot my laptop. However, I can no longer connect online no more. I have a router and I don't know to send connections to the laptop. I also plugged the Ethernet cable into the port and to no avail. Help.

    SO BASICALLY
I REBOOTED MY LAPTOP AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET. I HAVE A ROUTER AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO CONNECT WIRELESSLY OR DIRECTLY THROUGH THE ETHERNET CABLE. MY ISP IS AMTELECOM but their customer services is only between 8 and 8 (....uh, I know)

with reboot do you mean simply restarting it or reformating it?
