Everytime I try to use the included CD to configure my privacy/security settings it changes the WPA password and DOES NOT allow me to configure my router to have unprotected service with NO WPA encryption. How do I do this. AH linksys makes everything SOO difficult

Simply login to the router admin page, migrate down to the wireless setup/security. Define you SSID then select no security.

NOT A VERY GOOD IDEA THOUGH. IF IT'S A NEWER 11n router and your using Vista it will work better with WPA(2). And I think with no security your speed will be capped at 130mbps.

the CD that comes with a linksys router makes a handy beverage coaster...do as blue68f100 suggest...use the web based user interface to configure your router...btw...why would you want no encryption...are you just a nice guy who likes to share or give away your bandwidth...
