How truly "hidden" is the network when using this option? I used this on mine when setting it up and had to connect to it directly by the name because it correctly doesn't show up in the list of available networks nor does it when searching on another PC.

However, on my Sirius Stiletto 100 (can stream radio via wifi) when I searched for networks, it showed mine in the list. Are hidden SSID's not really hidden after all?

Anything that broadcasts a signal can be picked up.

That's what I figured...I just thought it was interesting that by default, my laptop can't see hidden networks while my Sirius radio can.

    Thanks.

There is software that can let your laptop see hidden networks.
