I have a Dell M1330 with it's standard wifi card in it. I recently followed step by step into the guide that put Windows XP onto the post-ordered vista laptop. I install all the given drivers and search dell's website for any others that would pretain to my computer.

I have a problem, I installed the given driver:

    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=5&fileid=236819

Which is for the model my computer runs. Everything installed correctly, yet, I still get the eerror message that "Update.cpp 455" has occurred and setup connot continue.

Note that this is the second time that I have installed the said driver.

(I've also installed two other ones, but I am simply assuming that one would replace another.)

Please help if you have knowledge on my behalf.

I had the same problem with Inspiron 6400 while installing a new driver for Dell 1390 Wireless Mini Card under WinXP. The solution was to run Setup.exe using "Run as Administrator" and uncheck "Protect my computer..." option.
